Ashley House Smith

Coach

A competitor at heart, Ashley started CrossFit in 2008 and was a 2009 CrossFit Games Individual Competitor and 2010 CrossFit Regional Competitor.  In 2013, she found the sports of powerlifting and strongman.  Under the guidance of world champion powerlifter and 2x World’s Strongest Woman, Jill Mills, Ashley has qualified for and competed in two open class NAS National Championships, and most recently, placed second in both the USS & Strongman Corporation Master’s National Championship.

Ashley regularly competes in USPA powerlifting meets as a raw, open class lifter, where she has taken first in her weight class on multiple occasions and won ‘Best Lifter’ on two occasions.  Her best total includes a 402lb deadlift and a 203lb bench press.  In addition, Ashley placed 4th in the 2015 Rogue Fitness Arnold Classic Cup MAS Wrestling Championships in Columbus, Ohio.

Ashley has a Master’s degree in Exercise Science from Western Maryland College (’01) and is a graduate of the University of Dallas (’97) in Irving, Texas where she competed in three sports and was inducted into the UD Athletics Hall of Fame in October 2002.  She has coached collegiate athletics for eight years.

Dani Nickle

Coach

Dani moved to San Antonio in 2000, after her parents picked the Hill Country to retire from their military service. She was a D1 collegiate athlete playing volleyball at Texas Tech for a year and then graduating from UTSA. After graduation she continued to coach volleyball at the University of the Incarnate Word and then at Saint Mary’s Hall. Dani started her CrossFit career in 2012 as a competitive athlete and then began coaching shortly thereafter. Dani and her husband recently started a family, welcoming Nash in June of 2016. She loves a fun, fast paced environment and has a passion for teaching.  Currently she is concentrating on women’s fitness, creating an inclusive program for mommies-to-be and post-partum fitness.

Kat Dunlap

Coach

Kat was born and raised in San Antonio, and is a graduate of University of Texas at San Antonio with a MS in Experimental Psychology.  Kat brings over 4 years of competition and CrossFit experience to the team.  She has a diverse set of coaching skills and an immense passion for CrossFit and helping others achieve their fitness goals.

Her coaching strengths include empowering others, patience, attention to detail, and a supportive attitude.

Favorite thing about CrossFit: It teaches you to push when you don’t want to, when you think you have nothing left.  It teaches you to fight past your limitations. It teaches you to FIGHT!

Kyle Burns

Coach/Founder

Kyle is a former executive who rose to the level of President & CEO before turning his focus on helping others realize their fitness goals.  He was selected as one of San Antonio’s Rising Stars, as recognized in the San Antonio Business Journal’s Annual 40 under 40 Publication.  Kyle has competed in numerous marathons, including 2 Boston marathons; triathlons, including 3 Ironman finishes; and multiple ultra-marathons of 50 miles or further.  He’s been CrossFitting since before there was a box in San Antonio.

Jonathan Norris Green

Coach/Founder

Jonathan is a competitive strongman, former power lifter and has been a personal trainer for four years with expertise in weight loss, sports performance and metabolism.  Jonathan brings to the team an extensive background in exercise physiology having completed a Master’s of Science in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Texas Tech University.  He’s easy to recognize, as he’s usually carrying an atlas stone or small car.

Kristina Ledbetter

Coach

Kristina is a digital designer/marketer with an invested background in all things CrossFit.  She turned her pursuit of personal wellness into a passion for inspiring others in achieving their own health and fitness goals.  She competes at and judges numerous local CrossFit events.  She also earned a first place finish in a CrossFit master’s co-ed team division as well as Fit Company Challenge’s “Fittest Executive” title in San Antonio.

When not designing websites or marketing strategies, you can find her at the box swinging kettlebells, lip syncing mid- WOD, or tap dancing on the lifting platform.
