Three Paths to Performance

At Fighter Up CrossFit, your health and wellness is our primary concern.  As in life, there is no shortcut to success, which is why we have developed our On-Ramp program as our primary entrance into our box, which also insures your success and safety.  Understanding that not everyone can attend all on-ramp sessions or may have experience at another box, we also offer the options of personal training and testing-out to fulfill the On-Ramp requirements.  The three paths into our box are as follows:


Regardless of a person’s past athletic experience or current level of fitness, everyone who first comes to Fighter Up CrossFit is provided with the opportunity to learn about basic techniques, terminology, pre-workout mobility, warm ups and exercises before participating in regular CrossFit classes. These are our On-Ramp classes, of which you must complete 12 prior to participating in regular CrossFit classes. As you work through the twelve consecutive sessions you and your fellow athletes will learn about the correct form for basic, functional CrossFit movements, and slowly work up to increase your level of intensity. Taught by one of our senior coaches, these classes focus on skills and core strength development and include a Workout of the Day(WOD).

The WOD in these sessions will be scaled down from our prescribed WOD’s and allow you to express your new knowledge and athleticism in a challenging, but less intense setting. You will be working out along other athletes, some of which will be doing prescribed weights and movements. This is intentional and designed to develop and support a community amongst our athletes, who will be cheering you on and giving you words of encouragement and advice. As you progress through the 12 On-Ramp classes, you will then be able to participate in prescribed workouts or continue to scale them, which will be discussed between you and the coach, so that you progress in a safe and effective manner.


If you are already familiar with CrossFit methodologies and have trained in another certified location, you may be eligible for our Test-Out option. We offer a 30 minute private session with our trainers to review your fitness level and knowledge of CrossFit. If you are able to demonstrate competency in CrossFit movements, you may wish to consider this Test-Out opportunity. There is no cost for this one-hour session.  Please contact Kyle if you are interested in testing-out.

Personal Training

We understand that not everyone will be able to attend 12 on-ramp sessions or may simply prefer one-on-one coaching to develop your skills and confidence.  As an option, you may complete the on-ramp program through personal training sessions, scheduled around you.  If you are interested in the personal training option, please contact Kyle, who will be happy to assist you.
